Sign up as a Good Mate for free and enjoy everyday discounts at a selection of our Partner Brands, or become a Best Mates for $50 per year for full access to the whole lot. Our mates are your mates. Welcome aboard.
Your individual membership code will be delivered to you directly via email. Your code is unique to you alone, and when you enter that same code at the checkout of any of our partner brands, your cart will be discounted by at least 10%.
Your code usually comes through within a few minutes. It will be ready to use immediately, and remain active until you cancel your subscription.

No - your code is only eligible for use at the online stores of our partner brands.
Yes, your membership can be cancelled at any time.
Simply log in to your account via the link in the header and manage your membership from there.
Yes - a Good Mates can be used once, per brand per year. A Best Mates code can be used up to five times per brand, per calendar year.
On January 1st each year, the usages are reset to zero and the fun begins again.
Your code is not tied to your email address so can be used by anyone, anytime, so feel free to share the love!
Keep in mind however that you can use your code has a maximum number of uses per brand, per year - one for Good Mates, five for Best Mates.
We've worked closely with our partner brands to minimise any exclusions for Mates Rates codes.
Some brands have some existing discounts that our codes cannot be used on top of, and in these cases we'll state the exceptions on the brand page. Otherwise, your code will work on every product, every day (including already reduced items 😉).

Your membership fees are used to support our partner brands in the following ways:
- We run paid online and offline advertising campaigns that build awareness of our partner brands and encourage potential customers to discover and shop with them.
- We pay our brand ambassadors and other suppliers wherever possible with gift vouchers from our partner brands, which we purchase from them at full retail price.
- We work with some of Australia’s best content creators and photographers on regular photoshoots, creating professional quality imagery and assets for our brand partners at no cost to them.
Partner brands are carefully curated and hand-picked by the Mates Rates team, along with our Ambassadors.
Here is what we look for in selecting a partner brand:
- They must be Australian-owned and operated.
- Their values align with our own, specifically with regard to sustainable production and operation, ethical manufacturing, equality and diversity.
- Their product offering is interesting, innovative and creative, made with passion and care.
- They are a brand that we believe our members would either already know and love, or be excited to discover.
